It’s commonly written with f/stop on the camera lens (e.g. f/5.6, f/2.8, f/2). The higher the number, the smaller the aperture or opening and the less exposure. These are all terms that camera manufacturers use to describe the type of focusing motor in the lens, called a silent wave motor.
